Greg joined EarthOptics to solve a variety of interesting, challenging problems as part of a team. He loves taking on multiple challenges, and enjoys collaborating with others.
Greg spent nearly five years at Oak Ridge National Lab working on a variety of projects in the Geospatial Data Sciences division - some image processing and machine learning applications as well as geospatial web applications. More recently he has worked with Bayer's Crop Science division, working on Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines and a cloud-based image processing pipeline.
Greg is originally from a small town on the Virginia/Tennessee border, but has spent most of his adult life in Knoxville, TN. He loves spending time in the Great Smoky Mountains, nerding out about soccer, and tinkering with his car when he has the time.
