Jacob Henden
Project Coordinator
Jacob grew up on an organic dairy farm in Southern Wisconsin where he first developed interest in agricultural sustainability. He believes soil mapping can be incredibly useful in working towards a sustainable future. He later studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he completed an M.S. in Entomology with a project evaluating landscape effects on Japanese beetle. He also earned an M.S. in Environment and Resources with a project classifying pasture management based on satellite imagery. Jacob has deep experience leading agricultural research initiatives and contributes both his technical expertise and project management skillsets in his EarthOptics role.
Jacob currently lives in Madison Wisconsin with his husband, two dogs (Wally and Panko), and two cats (Eva and Dusty). He enjoys hiking, swimming, playing music, and playing Dungeons and Dragons...amongst other games!
