Jared DeGroat
Program Manager
Jared brings to EarthOptics a strong interest in regenerative agriculture, improving food systems, carbon cycles, climate change, and soil health. His trajectory has consistently been guided by a commitment to sustainability, conservation, and global impact. With a diverse career spanning data consulting, climate change education, and a role at a National Park Service wildlife refuge, Jared’s hands-on experience also extends to volunteering on farms and conservation ventures in Patagonia.
Originally from Michigan, Jared’s journey led him to reside in Brooklyn, New York, before finding his current home in Boston. Despite city living, he likes to escape to the wilderness as much as possible to hike, backpack, trail run, and reconnect. Music is the soundtrack to Jared’s daily life, and he enjoys regularly attending live shows. Excited to work on scaling vital climate technology and promote regenerative agricultural practices, Jared’s alignment with EarthOptics’ mission is resolute.
