Mahelet joins EarthOptics fueled by her admiration for the team's passion for sustainable agriculture and their innovative SoilMapper™ Platform. With her background in overseeing operations and providing technical guidance in academic settings, she brings a wealth of experience in research work to her new role. Originally from Ethiopia and now based in the US, Mahelet enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, cooking, making illustrations, and crafting personal care products at home.

In her role at EarthOptics, Mahelet is eager to use her skills to deliver insights through her experience running nutrient analysis on soil and water samples, leading research projects, mentoring technicians, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. She's excited to contribute to EarthOptics' mission and hopes to make a positive impact by promoting sustainable practices.
