Joining EarthOptics as the 4th full-time employee, Clay has played an integral role in the company's growth and success. Over the years, he has held various positions within the organization, including Sensor Support Technician, Field R&D Manager, and Field Manager. Clay's expertise lies in sensor training, key partner demonstrations, and sensor research and development. He is driven by a deep-seated passion for innovation and a commitment to making a meaningful impact in the agricultural industry. His hands-on experience in farming coupled with his technical expertise allows him to bridge the gap between traditional agricultural practices and cutting-edge technology.
Clay attended North Carolina State University where he was a Park Scholar and earned a degree in Biological and Agricultural Engineering Technology. Outside of EO, Clay enjoys a variety of interests and hobbies. He is an avid golfer, a passionate traveler, and a skilled cook. Clay also has a fondness for collecting toy tractors and spends most weekends on the North Carolina coast.
