Expert Field Management
Up until now, traditional methods of soil sampling haven’t changed in decades and face challenges with expense, accuracy, and reliability.
Our GroundOwl multi-modal soil sensor gives you a quick, high-resolution, highly accurate view of your field at an affordable cost.
Our Core Technologies
- The Ground Owl: This sensor measures soil compaction to a depth of several feet while also measuring changes in soil texture, carbon content, conductivity, and nutrient properties.
- Proprietary Machine Learning: Our machine learning models increase with every acre analyzed and each year of mapping. This, plus our physical samples, ground-truth our results for unparalleled accuracy.
- Our Dashboard: Delivers all of your results to a single platform where you can see all of your results in one place year-over-year
- Best-in-Class Measurement Standards: What makes EarthOptics the leader in carbon measurement? It’s our dedication to accuracy and quality.
- Fully trackable chain of Custody: EarthOptics collects extensive physical soil samples with a fully digitized chain of custody. That means you know where your soil is at each stage of the measurement process.
- Lab Standards and Compliance: Our soil labs participate in the North American Proficiency Testing Program (NAPT). To remain certified, you must participate in quarterly blind testing to ensure your measurements fall within a small window that NAPT approves. Our testing is compliant with all internationally recognized carbon registries and standards.
- EarthOptics Soil Library: All project samples are stored in our own cold and dry soil storage soil library, ready for any audit, retest, or demonstration to back up accrual claims in the future.
- No Modeling Required: Ag practice modeling is not required for EarthOptics’ MRV solution as ∆SOC is measured directly using a measure and re-measure approach.
Our methodology allows for project-level MRV cost savings, and with our sensor data, we can produce hyper-accurate field-level results.
